Note to U.S. Senate...do NOT seat Blagojevich's pick for Senate

Governor Rod Blagojevich should not have the authority to fill the vacant Senate seat in Illinois, the one vacated by President-Elect Obama. He is undergoing investigation for trying to sell (yes, SELL) that very position, and I would not trust anyone there that Blagojevich appoints as not being complicit in the "pay to play" scheme.

I urge Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), the Senate Majority Leader, and all Senators to block the seating of Roland Burris to this seat. The Senate has this authority, and this is a clear case where they should exercise it. I know Democrats want to keep their majority strong, but a nomination by a governor who was selling the seat for political favors/money should not stand.

The legislature of Illinois should vote for a special election, and let the people decide.

Just say NO to Roland Burris and Rod Blagojevich.
