Governor Rod Blagojevich should not have the authority to fill the vacant Senate seat in Illinois, the one vacated by President-Elect Obama. He is undergoing investigation for trying to sell (yes, SELL) that very position, and I would not trust anyone there that Blagojevich appoints as not being complicit in the "pay to play" scheme.I urge Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), the Senate Majority Leader, and all Senators to block the seating of Roland Burris to this seat. The Senate has this authority, and this is a clear case where they should exercise it. I know Democrats want to keep their majority strong, but a nomination by a governor who was selling the seat for political favors/money should not stand.
The legislature of Illinois should vote for a special election, and let the people decide.
Just say NO to Roland Burris and Rod Blagojevich.
If you are on Facebook, join the Facebook group against seating any Blagojevich appointee.
