...at least that's what her statements seem to say.Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a fundraiser in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Thursday night:
"We believe that the best of America is in the small towns that we get to visit, and in the wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard-working, very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation," she said.
"This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans," Palin added.
So big cities don't count as "America"? New York City, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, Honolulu, Seattle, St. Louis, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Boston, Chicago, and many other large urban areas just don't count, according to Sarah Palin, as "real" America.
Typical Republican thinking...they only consider "real" America to be the country areas that support them. Oddly enough, traditionally "red" states that usually favor Republicans are even jumping off the sinking GOP ship.
Guess I should be glad I now live in a small town, or by Sarah Palin's thinking I'd need a passport to go to a big city that isn't "real" America...
