Police raided a rental hall used by a group organizing protests at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Friday.
St. Paul Police spokesman Tom Walsh said they were executing a search warrant.
"The cause for the search warrant is not public at this time," Walsh said.
The group released a statement that they were cited for a fire code violation, yet police came in force with weapons drawn. With a warrant whose cause is not public.
How many anti-DNC protest groups got raided in Denver? None.
If you ask me, this looks very Bush/Rovian...if someone opposes you, make 'em out to be criminals, or anti-American, or un-patriotic. I could be wrong, there might have been a legitimate concern, but given the GOP record of intimidation and character assassination the past 8 years, I have some real doubts...
