"To boldly go..."

I'm trying my hand at writing some Star Trek fan fiction. I'm not revisiting any series (though the temptation to jump into my favorite, Enterprise, was considerable), and I'm not doing another damn war. I want to "boldly go where no man has gone before", to explore like James Kirk and Jonathan Archer.

So I shall...or rather, Captain Jeffrey O'Kane and the crew of the USS Endeavour will.

Some background...Endeavour is an improved Nebula-class exploration ship. Not the Endeavour listed on Memory Alpha's page (I'm going to consider that one to have been retired in the intervening years), but an upgrade with a major boost to it's endurance and deep-space exploration capabilities (as well as weapons and shields...I'm not looking for war, but we all know what's out there!).

Endeavour's mission is slated for 10 years, starting in the uncharted regions of the Beta Quadrant beyond the Klingon Empire. She carries families, a large crew, and many of the races we've all come to know in the Star Trek franchise (including two Andorians, a joined Trill, a Xindi, a Klingon/Human and a Bajoran/Human).

This new blog will be home to the continuing adventures of Captain O'Kane and crew, as the Endeavour travels the stars.
