Rocky election day in Iraq

Iraq's Sunni Arab minority made a violent reentry into politics Friday, bombing offices of a political party that urged support for a new U.S.-backed constitution while posting insurgents and tribal fighters at some polling places to ensure that Sunni voters could vote safely Saturday against the proposed charter.

*Sigh* I was hoping for a passage to this constitution, but given the Sunni feelings on it, I don't know...it's entirely possible it will be rejected.

The bright side is this...if it's passed, we're one step closer to getting out of the mess that is Iraq. If not, then Iraqis have a chance to draft an even better constitution, one that does better by Sunnis.

In other words, look at this as a "glass half full" situation.
